Do they sell the 500 ml version? The cans in this pic are 330, which is a bit smaller than the standard 350 in Japan as well.
If you zoom in on the can it says 6%. Japan went through a phase of increasing alcohol percentages on these types of drinks ~10 years ago when the govt was raising taxes on beer a few times in a relatively short time period. They first came out with the “strong” versions which were 9%, and I think that wave peaked at a 13% lemon drink (which tasted like licking a robot, btw).
More recently Japan’s been a little more health conscious about booze in general, so there’s been an increase in types of non-alcoholic versions of drinks, including pale ale type beers and cocktails. The companies making cheap options like the -196 and the zeros have subsequently put 6 and 7% versions in the stores. There’ve also been studies showing young people drinking less overall, so it’ll be interesting to see what the next moves are.
Aren’t all (or almost all) memes famous randomly though? No one expected a sort of doofy photo of a teen to be famous for years for having bad luck, for example.
This just hit me as an interesting example of an analysis that can take all the available data into account and considered through all kinds of lenses, but without a key will never be interpreted correctly (this is assuming you can’t just google the phrase). It reminds me of the darmok episode of tng where the computer couldn’t interpret a foreign language because it was based on a history of shared memes

Pretty sure you just justified Americans using Fahrenheit ;)
Horse shoe theory still doesn’t work-- you have to change to the stethoscope model to include tankies
Yeah true. I liked a couple of the new characters but I wish they hadn’t just kept cycling through new powers. Feels like with the freedom to change the fundamental premise they started with it let them focus on lower hanging fruit stories than trying to create deeper plots with the established story.
Misfits got 5 seasons, but being a UK show they only had like 6 eps each.

I feel like he’s just lamenting that the youth that are making things happen could make a statement with some distinct fashion. Style has always been important for him so I guess it’s somewhat complaint adjacent, but I get the feeling it’s less like “damn kids today!” and more like “it’d be better if it were this way”.
John Waters made a lot of counterculture films back in the day-- I don’t think his tone is complaining
