Lol I end up using my PTO as sick time except the now our policy only allows 4 sick days and we lost our point system and instead get fired after the 3rd occurrence. If I weren’t WFH I’d have to find another job because I can’t make it out the door most days. Also it still eats up my PTO to have an absence. I haven’t had an absence in almost 2 years and I’ve had to work with migraines and running to the bathroom. Next month I have scheduled most of it off but I’ll be recovering from work and sleeping lol. I don’t need this job as we don’t have kids so we’ve saved up plenty to live off of but the lack of health insurance would be problematic, though not sure that paying 400 a month for it right now isn’t actually worse for what I get. Good thing I’ve got dual citizenship and can escape to Europe anytime I want lol! Just not back to Italy… our Healthcare system may be free but the quality is atrocious. But if the US pulls its head out of its ass and decides to actually care to improve itself I’m all for it. As it is right now it’s just creating tired insane violent idiots.

Because people are tired of it. If people need to keep doing this over and over than I guess humanity is doomed.

That’s exactly what the government wants. They want you to eat each other not them and the corporations. Stop buying shit, stop paying for internet and cell service, stop buying cars etc. That’s the real control we have. Just be idle and watch them bail.

Oh man. Lol to function and be independent I had to learn to ignore the fire but I think it’s starting to burn down my house. Problem is we have abysmal Healthcare, especially mental so my body and mind both have decided they’re retiring. Hrmm… at least theresmpizza,right?

So I am using it right now but my main issue is that it keeps repeating the same posts over and over on my all feed. I thought it was scrolling back to the top every time I backed out of a post but no it was just another dupe.

I don’t. I do have a specific place in my bag that has nothing else in it and has a soft lining. I do have leggings with pockets but I rarely wear anything but comfy close anymore so wither in my hand or in my bag. Also leg sweat on a phone, ew.

I’m not understanding why that matters though. I don’t think people care about comments etc. Those comments will still exists. I have never gone back to look at comments I wrote after I moved on to something else so I may missing something here?

Yup. I think it’s fun and it makes me explore more. Makes me check out different instances and actually actively look for things I like instead of passive doomscrolling.

Profit ruins everything. Heck I don’t even enjoy producing art or figurines or whatever if it’s for profit. I’d rather be part of something driven by passion and interest in doing something for others than profit. Infinite growth is a really bad model… if humans grew indefinitely it wild be catastrophic, and claustrophobic…

I like that idea. I miss just participating in niche forums. Keeps me from being tempted to watch something grotesque or read rage bait.

The only issue I have is I can’t directly reply to replies to my comments from the inbox. I have to tap on the username and search for the comment. Makes responding tedious.

I’m happy to use one of my other accounts but those instances aren’t federated as largely as world. If I can look at all from any instance and choose what communities to avoid I would do that.
