Usually pretty good advice for a book but actually not helpful in this book.
The real answer is to read it however you want to explore it.
I tried the “New Outlook” a few months ago. There was no longer a Save As option for attachments. All attachments were downloaded to the default downloads directory.
I immediately uninstalled and didn’t look back.
It’s mind blowing how dense those pixels are but in the end it’s still lower res when you factor in the distance you usually view your phone or a television from.
That was the day I cancelled.
1st attempt - 93% and 3 perfects.
I don’t think I’ll beat that.
This. A very dark chocolate or a peppermint/candy cane will get me. I also do the sun thing.
Photos as an online photo gallery is their implementation yes but they bought up Picasa the desktop gallery early on. That software included tagging and I believe face recognition by the end.
Maybe I’m due for a reread. Anyone got a link to where this one comes from?

That’s what she said
For those like me who hadn’t seen this before, this time lapse gif was recorded in 2014. The Rosetta spacecraft had a fascinating, 12 year long mission to get this imagery.
I feel like, for the 35-54 bracket at least, this must be less about giving up all the modern conveniences we have today but more about wishing they could raise their children in that simpler time. You don’t want your kids to be left out of what’s new and cool but you also don’t want them exposed to EVERYTHING these platforms bring. It’s a tight rope to walk and I’m not looking forward to it when my kids are older. I know a lot of people who have gone down the road of, “I didn’t have a cell phone growing up, my kids won’t either.” But it’s not very realistic in today’s world.
The family plan was the best $15 I spent for many years but when they raised the rates this past year I took a look at all my streaming subscriptions and YouTube didn’t make the cut any longer. There’s a small chance I’ll resub as an individual down the road but for now it’s ad blockers for me.
That’s literally the joke here.
