I just want to say - I sincerely appreciate you! You’re a nice person, internet stranger, and I hope you are having a good day.

Jokes on you. I’m the Grey Fox and you’ll never catch me!
Yeah I eyeball too, but when you start getting into the 50/50 range things get dangerous so I keep it below that 😂 Most people don’t like straight liquor so that’s fair if you don’t like it neat. I’m a big whiskey and gin drinker so I’ll just make a Martini or Manhattan when the mood strikes. If I want something more refreshing a Mule is always great too if I can find good ginger beer!
I don’t know, I tend to opt for a 1:2 ratio if I’m looking to make a strong-ish mixed drink(Any less and I feel like I should just drink the whisky neat honestly). With a normal 40% ABV liquor this ends up being about 13% total. If you do a more normal 1:3 ratio it’s about 10%, so it’s weak, but it’s not that far off I guess.
For what it’s worth, I saw your posts on Yiffit when you found all this out after the fact. It’s a little inconvenient on desktop, but on mobile it’s actually very intuitive to have separate accounts to specifically browse an instance by local. You can usually even have the same display name if that’s important to you as well.
In the future though you always do need to keep instance politics, culture, and rules in mind when choosing a daily driver account because it is important.
The admins of Lemmy.ml are staunchly against any pornographic material being federated to their instance. This stance is unlikely to ever change and you should not expect it to.
Personally I would just recommend keeping two accounts if this is your problem - one general purpose and another for being able to view NSFW.
Given the context from the title, I interpreted it as referencing the wine brand, “Josh”
This is always what it is for me. I don’t care so much about leaving the company short-staffed so much as it genuinely makes my life 10x harder and takes weeks for me to get myself in a stable spot again.
Damn. Inflation even got to our opinions too
People in general have a hard time conceptualizing how large and empty space is. With our current propulsion technology it will take longer than the human lifespan, barring any absolutely groundbreaking cryonics developments, to reach even the Oort cloud of our own solar system.
I think in the next century, a reasonable goal is to have small sparsely manned mining outpost settlements on Mars. There’s enough financial incentive where I could see a future where it happens.
No. I think it’s a cat.
