There was something in that game that made it insufferable to me, but I don’t remember what it was. Everytime I picked it up I would play for 5 or 10 minutes and put it down again, until I eventually quit it.

Windows, in the past has been known to sometimes overwrite the Linux boot loader after a windows update.

Linux (ubuntu) do that pretty often too, people just don’t notice it because they’re unlikely to be running any other bootloader if they have Linux’.

I had to do some soap integration last year and it feels like it only got worse with age.

Not to mention the album cover with an asshole on it.

I never associated it with the people pleasing aspect of my life, but it took me 35 years to finally enjoy one song by myself, to the point I actually didn’t mind just listening to it without doing anything else at the same time.

I deleted all my comments last year. Recently I got a notification for a response in one of such comments. When I clicked the notification link, my comment and the response were visible. The comment doesn’t show up in my profile.

I started cycling on the wrong side of the road because I can be responsible for my own safety that way. I can’t count the number of times I’ve been endangered by some driver acting like I wasn’t on the road at all while going on the right side.

And I forgot to save it every time it showed up. Now I have this one saved only.

I need to be thankful that those bar games were hard from the beginning and had me killed within seconds whenever I tried them, so I never got addicted to them. If those games had used modern user-retention tactics back then I would’ve spent a ton of coins in my life.

Considering Nintendo basically has an uncle scrooge money vault, that would’ve been quite an achievement.

I never installed any driver in any way other than the software center and it happened to me in every single update for several years until I finally bothered to search how to configure the update process to stop doing it (last month).

Multiple machines, distros, DEs, you name it. None of them ever not had this problem.

While I agree with you, the issues described are definitely not made up. Linux tends to remove proprietary drivers on every update and the open source drivers for Nvidia still fail with a lot of hardware.

I personally haven’t seen windows do that in many many years (last time I saw it happen was with windows XP, though I haven’t ran dual-boot system with every windows since then, just some).

In my dual-Linux setup though, one keeps trying to get over the other in every minor update.

I would imagine that setting up a python debugger would be the same on both since sublime also use vscode’s debug adapter protocol.

I’ve been using sublime since forever as well; Atom never really felt like a valid alternative because it was so so slow. VSCode still feels kinda slow but not to a degree that gets to be annoying. Still I could never get used to it. It breaks some system keyboard shortcuts that I use heavily (alt + arrow keys for example) and takes forever to parse files (to make a list of all functions in the project for example).

I wish sublime would update more often and have all the cool new things that come to VSCode every other week, but at the end of the day it still works better and doesn’t really lack anything that’s actually useful (except maybe for a few months before st4 came out).

Speaking as someone who tried to get into homestuck after seeing how beloved it was, but couldn’t really adapt to it… Wait I don’t really have anything to say.

I use edge on linux every now and then. I keep two browsers to separate work and personal stuff and I use edge as my secondary browser (for personal stuff on the work OS, for work stuff on the personal OS). My main browser is Vivaldi.

My reasoning is that it has very good tab management features and I’d still rather use a Microsoft browser than an Opera browser. With just those two requirements there’s not much else to use out there.
