Prior to Podcast Addict I used Spotify for my podcasts. So, for me at least, it’s been a big improvement; though I’ll concede that’s a low bar to clear.
I used to pay for a reddit gold to support the site because Ai (naively) beloved it was a worthwhile investment in a website that connected disparate, niche communities and served as a repository of knowledge.

I’ve used both RiF and Sync, and between the two of them I’d probably say Sync was my favorite. I hope both of the devs land on their feet, they produced amazing apps.
Presumably it’s only going to get better over time. I was afraid I’d lose this part of the internet when Reddit went full corpo, but to be honest the quality of discussion on Lemmy makes up for the diminished content.
Steve’s videos helped me get into star trek, he makes really good essay content.
