Wait? Sex work should be regulated to prevent freedom of choice in clients? That seems a little counter-intuitive if you ask me

You don’t have to be PCI compliant for stuff like bank transfers or other forms of payment. Credit cards aren’t the default payment method everywhere.
Maybe it’s pay on pickup, or just a simple mail with sepa wire transfer instructions.
Also, the PSP can still use JS but your site still doesn’t need to have it. Services like Mollie and Stripe offer checkout environments they host, meaning you still don’t have to use JS on your site.
You can’t get around JavaScript, it’s impossible to build a functioning online store without some kind of JS.
Well, sure you can. It will just be a pain to use for your users, especially when validation comes into play.
But a simple list with an “add to chart” button really won’t need any javascript.
Sometimes I miss the times where you could download Limewire Pro using Limewire
Better than those circumchanned Americans.
So something that’s even worse, cool.
An app can use a lot more factors than this “hardened” browser.
Quit your trolling.
especially here in the US where transfers between banks take 2-3 days.
*Laughs in SEPA Instant Transfer*
Anyhow, locking and unlocking is an option. Using “3D Secure” systems - which require a secondary approval via an app or website - works significantly better, and chargebacks are one tap in a banking app (modern apps, so US might again be fucked here).
I disagree
Woah, I don’t have one in my huge mansion. You’re so fortunate
I learned “creating a zip” the hard way when I submitted an exam but forgot the -r on creation, meaning all the to-review code was gone.
That’s why I’m working in that area. Gotta give the alcoholism some competition up there.
The UK will do anything to stand out, like creating their own country abbreviations instead of using the goddamn ISO.
“NTL” for “The Netherlands”, really?
If you have a somewhat decent shell, just smack tab twice after the filename, it’ll list the directories present.
If she’d be in the middle of a train track she’d be getting railed, so that wouldn’t work.
You mean the part where most women I know get harassed or groped when they go clubbing, and bars letting only men do rounds to retrieve glasses since the women get groped to the point they cannot work?
Yeah, no, way easier.
Understandable, just like in the EU each country has their own rules concerning vacation days and PTO, but they’re likely closer to the Dutch rules than the “general” US rules if what I’ve been reading on Lemmy and Reddit.
It gets paid out at the end of the year.
Luckily this is protected, since paying out days off is taxed at 52% in the Netherlands, so you’d lose half the income for not going on holiday.
First two days of sick leave are by default unpaid, but then social systems kick in and the employer has to pay at least 70% of income (or min wage, whichever is higher).
While the average American is lucky to get 11 vacation days from their employer each year
Doesn’t this also decrease if you get sick?
I got properly ill the day before I went on holiday, and was out for about a week. All those sick days didn’t count against my vacation days.
Furthermore, my vacation days are (to an extend) transferable, which meant I had 31 vacation days this year. That just seems normal policy here (25 vacation days is fairly common in mid-range jobs).
Ah, right, kinda like SEPA Credit Transfer. You do need a persons IBAN which is a bit long, but their name is validated so you usually send it to the right person.
Ooh, cool, kinda like SEPA Instant Credit Transfer, which transfers money within ten seconds to bank accounts using the above mentioned number.
And that’s why, in the Netherlands, Tikkie took the country by storm. It is an app that allows you to use iDEAL (a web-based payment system, soon rolled out in Germany and Belgium as Vero) to send money to friends. Usually takes one pin and three taps to send it, and have it instantly appear on the account of the recipient.
