  • A friend of mine is pretty sure Kenneth Copeland is a part of a fourth dimensional angler fish. He’s just out here looking vaguely human and teaching the Bible just wrong enough so that instead of Jesus coming back it’s going to be some nightmarish horror.

Also, he eats a pet every few days. Not because he needs meat, but because he feeds off the suffering of children.

  • He waffled about what the book was really about. At first he said it was censorship. Later in life he said it was intended as a searing indictment of the looming cultural distraction of technology, most notably television according to his biographer Sam Weller.

Which is wild considering he wrote scripts for the Twilight Zone and Alfred Hitchcock Presents, then had Ray Bradbury Theater in the 80s.

  • I left out some vital info. I’ve got two decades of IT experience. I said there’s not a time but likely I would have taken it right when I graduated because I was making $10/hr to be out in the sun and get screamed at by a moron. But they wouldn’t have wanted me because I hadn’t been in IT for 20 years at that point.

Good luck, friend! I don’t know the beginning job market anymore so I have no advice, but I really hope things go well for you.

  • The list isn’t terrible, but the current cost of developing oneself is getting pretty prohibitive for a lot of folks due to the cost of food and housing. If you’re barely scraping by it’s difficult to go take a class or get a professional certificate for even a couple of hundred bucks.

  • I can say this sounds like me. I’m not in continual withdrawal for cigarettes. I remember smoking when having a drink and those were good times. I remember smoking on road trips and it was a good time. Smoking with coffee, same. Bad things happen? Walk away to gather myself by having a smoke. Not a good time, but definitely part of coping.

I loved smoking. If it weren’t for the terrible health shit I’d recommend it to everyone.

I quit and am not looking back. But I still feel the call.

  • Or “have we run out of natural yoghurt, we bought that 500ml pottle last week but we had curry twice, maybe I should get some more…”

This is me. I have to really watch where I’m zoning out because I have absolutely been called out for staring when my brain was miles away.
