Reading so many stories like this through my life, and now all this on top of that, is relying on the lived experience of transfems to make absolutely sure I never bother with it. I would love nothing more but I’ve already got too much to worry about. I don’t need all this, too. I wouldn’t survive it.

It sounds like an apartment building restriction, not a Spectrum restriction. The building wasn’t run for ethernet so they just put in wifi with a single modem for the building and called it a day.
Bring back Strong Zero! Yes, I know they still make them and you can still find them. But they aren’t as convenient anymore. And who knows how long they will last now. I’m sad.
