Having sex with people of the same gender is not a political position, sexuality does not determine political and moral views. Plenty of gay people have political and moral perspectives which differ from your own and they are still valid in their sexuality.

Pride should be for everyone who wants to celebrate LGBT, it’s not a political party. Yes that means people you don’t agree with politically get to celebrate too.

The reality is 99% of people that create images or music have little to no real creativity, it’s far higher for text.

You can be crazily creative with thrown paint and make images you can stare at for hours or you can do the most generic shit with a hundred brushes and 12 years of art education.

Of course a creative person can use ai in fascinating ways to create visually stunning images. The better tools get the more control we have over output and the more intricate and ¹complex the things we’ll make. I’ve seen loads of really cool things from ai which are every bit as creative as anything else, as with all art you have to seek out creativity and originality.

People will say I’m crazy but I love freeCAD, the sketch and part benches are all i really need because I’m mostly using it to make project boxes and dial holders but it’s nice that it can do so many other things. Not great for artistic tools I’d use blender for that but technical stuff it’s great.

I use Ubuntu for everything I do (except building and testing windows binaries) beside upgrading when it asks me to I never really have to worry about anything, everything I use just works and the ui is fine.

I’m not a big gamer and I only really use open source software so I don’t know if you’ll want to do things I don’t but I do pretty much everything else: image editing, video editing, CAD, coding, all sorts of weird internet stuff.

There has always been a decent sized portion of the population that thinks the end is nigh, society is collapsing, etc

It’s because imagining a future is scary, people don’t like thinking about things that are as hard to predict and uncomfortable as a good future where things are easier and society smarter because it carries with it the certainly that current beliefs will be over turned and current struggles forgotten - its very unsettling.

People love to think they’re at the high point of civilization and things will collapse because otherwise things feel kinda pointless and scary - especially the thought of everything we know and care about becoming irrelevant and opinions we carry getting over turned

Honestly things are going pretty well compared to most of history and we got through all that.
