no, I really don’t think that’s gonna happen. If you read the Apollo dev’s full account of the past few months it really gives the impression Reddit is not interested in changing their position or working with the devs at all.

I think they did do research and third party app users make up a small enough portion of their user base that losing them is okay to Reddit.
users maybe, but i don’t think they considered mods in that. of course they can just replace mods as necessary, but the mod quality will go down for sure.
It is not super difficult to do the same type of blocking with a router on software like OpenWRT.
that is not something average people even know about, or would have the skills to attempt. not even close.
