I’m confused. Isn’t mythtv just TV tuner software or something? Which would still require a cable subscription? Plex and jellyfin do not operate on the same playing field. Jellyfin is also FOSS FWIW.

Yes, I remember these days. I had a few Ubuntu CDs from back then.
Story time, I once was reinstalling windows and I could not remember which drive had all my important data on it and I was getting ready to go out. But windows xp installer was on the disk selection screen and I couldn’t remember which disk was windows and which was my data. I said fuck it I’ll figure it out later. I get home and my monitor is off. I jam enter a bunch of times to wake it up. Woops. Installed windows on my data drive.
And if you don’t, you could just boot a live USB of Linux and some installers are capable of repartitioning your drive for dual boot.
But there’s always a small amount of risk to this, but I’ve never had an issue in my 25 years of doing it.
Oh that’s cool, which extension deals with the cookie thing? I use Firefox normally.
I’m usually too lazy to click into those things, when I’m on my phone I use Firefox focus and just accept all be cause as soon as I’m done viewing the site it’s all gone anyways
Does photoprism count?
Truenas core/scale, custom built (easy) but the disks will be the main costs… I think ik 2015 mine cost me 450$. Disks were 1200 :/
Win11? More like lose11.
I’ll see myself out the door…
Use a virtual machine inside virtual box, or docker, or some other container. Back when I started the os could literally break to CLI and I’ve have to learn to fix it with Google and another computer or my phone 😅. Instead of blindly pasting commands, read the man pages. After years I have a handful of useful commands I use and I really do find it easier to do certain things from cli vs GUI. It will come with time, don’t worry.

Is there a neoneofetch?
Unless you have a shit ton of hosts, to limit broadcast domains.
Hang on, you don’t typically buy your cars at 15Km/h?

Don’t use raid 5. It hasn’t been recommended for like a decade. Use 6 at minimum if you value your data.
If the deal is too good to be true, it probably is.
Claims without facts, got it. UI can be slow, sure. Mostly admin side. Outlook, excel, word, etc all work fine.
Google workspace has a fraction of the functionality. At a base level they’re relatively comparable. But once you go into more advanced functionality and security, 365 is a landslide better.
Oh right, aren’t those all basically trash though? Like a few news channels and some talk shows?
