I moved from Ubuntu to Pop!_OS.
It feels miles ahead, it feels so clean and polished and looks great, flatpaks enabled instead of snap. Go Pop
I email ePubs to my kindle, I’m told Amazon automatically converts them, I’ve had 0 issues.
But calibre can convert them anyway.
No. It’s from Special Alphabets 4. https://twitter.com/tomwarren/status/1683428660915625989?t=61yiSztLYwYk44zLQ1HVrw&s=19
Totally. My setup is on a NUC8i5BEH.
Handles 4K Plex like a dream, all the *arrs, multiple website services. I have about 50 or so containers and it doesn’t get close to full CPU usage.
I started on PiHole, but when I found AdGuard Home I tried it and it’s so much better. My group chat that self hosts ended up swapping too.
The interface is so much cleaner and easier to use, anecdotally it’s so much more reliable. And have more features built in from the get go.
Plus you can edit it without having to refresh Gravity like in PiHole. Nothing major but it saves me a few seconds of time.
I run everything in containers, so I rsync my entire docker directory to my NAS, which in turn backs it up to the cloud.
I was using Jerboa, but recently moved to Thunder and enjoying it a lot more.
Although the Reddit Sync app Dev said he’s going to make Sync for Lemmy, so I’ll swap to that once it’s released.
Back in the day I used to just keep 2-3 fully charged spare batteries if I went out. No need for a battery pack to recharge if I can just quickly swap battery and get a days worth of charge instantly.
I’m currently Ubuntu, but if I were to start from scratch this would be it, simple, basic, does everything I need.
Why not use Raspberry Pi OS? It’s based off of Debian.
