People talking about an os like it’s their damn personality.
Man as silly as it sounds, I swear, so much of my verbiage has been expanded because of Halo games. I think in 5 the main antagonist was called The Didact and I remember looking it up.
Do you want a sticker or something?
Yeah, honestly. A lot about our systems, services and infrastructure sucks but we mostly got the postal service right. It’s one of the few things I’m genuinely proud of (which is saying a lot).
It’s not perfect, and sometimes it’s hell dealing with bureaucracy no matter the alphabet organization but fuck is it wild that we can nearly guarantee postal service across our almost 10,000,000 km^2 land mass.
Nothing that you’ve posted, I would consider nearing an understanding of beauty. Again, it’s all vapid, non-critical, and lacking substance as well as craft. All well and good, since these are just commodity images and not art.
You understand that just shitting out images isn’t really doing your point any favors, right? Art isn’t about how fast you can make something; I’d argue that how fast it took to make a particular piece of art is the last thing anyone would care about.
But, this is the crux of all of this. You’re not creating art, you are making images. Images are a commodity all about the quick visual and so that’s how you’re engaging with these models. As though they were a throwaway commodity. There is no intent or exploration in any of these; no catharsis. It’s all just empty and devoid.
Can we stop turning every instance into a Linux instance?
I’m an architect and designer. I’ve tried switching to Linux on several occasions. Unfortunately you just can’t really CAD/CAM, 3d model for fabrication, or for architectural documentation in Linux. There’s also a lot of work I do with fabrication robots which further complicates matters. Finally, the creative tools on Linux are limited. It’s hard to find good software substitutes for things like after effects, InDesign, and figma. Rendering is also a pain; having to use blender as the intermediary adds a significant extra step to the process.
Also, anything having to interact with MS is a huge pain in the ass (specifically no onedrive support, which is what a lot of AEC firms have switched over to using in order to collaborate besides BIM360).
Why? None of that sounds like a pleasant experience.
A lot of people don’t know this but manifest destiny also covers delicious, salty snacks from the rest of the world.
Apparently that drawing is supposed to represent a child. Gross.
I don’t have a horse in whatever niche fandom this comes from. I think it’s weird to draw little girls in a sexualized way and I also think it’s weird that people sexualize cartoons.
The two are not mutually exclusive.
I’m saying you’re weirdly sexualizing a cartoon.
Yes
