Why not the other way round? Delete your channel and if you can go a month without using Windows, recreate it.
That thumbnail makes it look like you’re about to lean forward and take a bite out of your microphone.
I’m sure it’s great but I’ve had no issue on Mint.
Mint for gaming, because it’s nice to have a rock-solid OS that doesn’t need much beyond updates in terms of maintenance. Arch for hobby tinkering, because voiding warranties is fun.
Following the ancient traditions, I’m here to tell you that you picked the wrong distro. 😉
But welcome aboard.
Do you really need me to teach you that people do fun things as well as useful things?
It’s fun at first,
You answered your own question.
My submarine functions so much better since I nailed them all shut.
Constructing a wood and stone platform in a void world without a permit. Surely that’s only worth a fine and a warning.
I may also have stabbed one or two uh, dozen, orcs in my dark room.
I gave my neighbour’s teenager an old laptop pre-installed with Linux Mint LTS Cinnamon to study programming on. So at least I know his weed dealer is enjoying the Linux experience.
You’re far better off with the Arch wiki.
I did something similar. I loaded an older version of Mint off a live CD to use GPartEd to resize them. It worked like a charm, no problems.
Don’t use Tiny Core Linux. The wiki is a mess of articles for two different versions, neither of which is the current one. Sign-up to the forum has been broken for years and the owner seems to like it that way because the same happened when he created Damn Small Linux.
Stop reading them, then. You’re doing this to yourself.
Linux Mint is my daily driver. I enjoy tinkering, but I also want a distro that doesn’t need it when I get home from work and just want a vodka tonic and some memes.
I set up a progressive backup of my home folder… to my home folder. By the time I got home that day it was impossible to log in because there was no room to create a login record. Had to fix that by deleting the backup file using a live CD.
Not yet. I’m sure I’ll get there eventually, but for now I’m enjoying watching people make their own choices for OS.
When I was in tech support I used to say that I did the work for free, but I charged for the time I spent listening to people confidently tell me things that were wrong.
I’m a perma-noob and I was able to do it. Had to re-do a couple of steps because I interpreted instructions that were meant to be literal, but the wiki pages are very comprehensive. I just had to pay attention to the details.
