A new preferences dialog has been added to Software Manager that has, among other options, a toggle to show unverified Flatpaks — but the distro makes clear this is “not recommended”
Absolutely no shot I can afford 40 TB of SSDs for my NAS
Yeah I normally opt out of all tracking or telemetry, but when it’s a project that I feel like I can trust and want to make better I make sure to turn it on.
Technically, this numbering scheme conforms with semantic versioning where
1.9.0 -> 1.10.0 -> 1.11.0
You don’t need portainer for it to be easy! The wiki is quite great at providing setup examples for docker compose, regular docker, and others!
Ahhhh why not anything in /tmp
or better ${TMPDIR:-/tmp}
or best mktemp
Same here lol, just read through ext{2…4} as well as Btrfs and Bcachefs (and B Trees of course). What a wonderful unplanned deep dive.
So should ext3 be deprecated for the same reason? Seems it also has the 2038 problem.

Wow, 1993 to 2024, not a bad first-class support lifetime.
It doesn’t exist and it seems like it’s not something that Mozilla are willing to fix
You could at least put the command in a spoiler or add a /s to make sure some random new user doesn’t follow the advice
Not regular Fedora, though, it was only in Fedora Rawhide and Fedora 41, so very very early, bleeding edge distributions. Nothing that a regular Fedora user would be using.

I figure if I’m already using their proxy, may as well have my domains there as well… one fewer party to trust.
I think you’re absolutely right… perhaps something with the effect of lighter compared to the rest = open vs darker compared to the rest = closed.
I think it’s also magnified by the fact that we’re comparing to the full color one on the right which has the lighter color for (in my perception) open eyes.
Not something that you asked, but please remember that most of the distribution managers know FAR more about the system than you do. If at all possible, be sure to follow the recommendations at DontBreakDebian (adapted to your system of course), to make sure you have a stable system.
That means things like avoiding whenever possible installing from random sources or changing settings that you don’t really understand. Whatever you do, don’t try to change anything about the kernel, graphics drivers, or standard libraries / shared packages unless you’re absolutely certain you know what you’re doing.
Not something that I need but absolutely beautiful UI and congrats on the 2.0 release!
Yeah tbh if I’m already going to be using Cloudflare for DNS, might as well use them for their registrar as well. One fewer entity to trust.
They own the domain instead of you. They can then act as a middle man between any inquiries and you, and as a company, they’re able to shield you from many 3rd parties.
That’s fair, maybe you’re using the wrong tool though, something like an internet archive sounds more like what you need.
Take every tab you open and save a PDF, all the text, and all the images, then put a timestamp on them before deleting the tab. That’s not the point of a browser though, that’s an entirely different product.
You’re welcome to build it though, or ask Microsoft if they can make Recall work for tabs.
