Whaaaaat!? Grooming? But Humbert isn’t trans? This is just normal behavior, it only becomes wrong when you are already a persecuted minority.

Okay, I think you need to be more specific? I really don’t know what story you’re referring to.
I believe you. I meant more that it “won” conceptually than phonetically. To an American ear it sounds more like “aw” or “ah” than “o”.
Pretty sure “caught” won and “cot” lost in the caught-cot merger. I don’t think most Americans would conceive of it as an “o” sound
Yeah, it’s trans masc instead, but it did give us the very fun trans masc trans mask.
I dunno, if I have to process my own e pills, I’m gonna mess something up. Maybe if it comes with a cute live-in pharmacist or something
There’s like five different characters in marvel comics from different “the real world” universes that are all just ‘our world except so-and-so comes from there’. And that’s a tame example of that kind of thing.
So yeah, it could certainly be a “crossover without ever actually crossing over” like with marvel vs DC or whatever
Well, mayhap I stand corrected.
Of course, it’s comics so it could just as easily be another Riverdale canon they’re colliding with that just looks like the show and is exactly like it except the couple things they changed…
I don’t think the Riverdale show is canon in the comics
Why? The method described above already does the needed task perfectly, and without needing to design and produce a new part. Did you learn nothing from The Human Centipede (2009)?
I dunno, the looks on the bystanders faces implies it’s got the same impact as it might today.
Sounds like a yes
Actually, this is just affirming the consequent
5+1=6, not 5?
I mean… Yes? Yes. Yes, right?
1+5=6 tho?
On the one hand, sure.
On the other hand, a lot of significant things in math and science came about because someone noticed and then studied a neat coincidence.
Well. I did find that book, but not the story about it. Also, TIL Orson Scott Card is rather a bit of a homophobe.
