That’s not really what most of them are theoretically about, but many of their followers treat it as such. I don’t accredit that to religion though, I think some people are simply going to try to opress others regardless of whatever reasoning they use. There are bad people and good people in every population, and blaming the actions of those bad people on their larger group is (usually) to be avoided.

It does not impact your freedoms. Its not like you literally can’t cheat, you just cant cheat and continue a relationship with them. Everyone has their own terms. That’s not a rule to get around, its called respecting your partners wishes. Its a basic common decency regardless of how many partners you have.

I have also tried hosting a subsonic server but I ended up returning to Spotify because I didn’t see much benefit to it at the time. Hopefully using navidrome this time will fix some of the issues I had with it. Have you tried any desktop clients for it, or do you just use a browser? I didn’t like the web version of subsonic but I know you mentioned that its cleaner with navidrome.
